I took it out and set it on my truck for the photo. It lives in my sunroom right next to a window. It gets direct morning sun. I don't know whether it would tolerate my summer temperatures.
I usually try to put the oldest, non-growing part of the plant against the edge of the new container. The size of the root mass may prevent you from getting it right up to the edge. A lot of Cymbidiums soon grow from all the way around the plant, in a circle, so you can also put it in the center of the new container.
