Is this cymbidium dayanum a lost cause??

I bought this little guy (2 in" pot, NBS) off eBay. It consists of one relatively big plant, and two or three smaller pseudobulbs. The roots look good, but the leaves on the biggest bulb look very suspicious to me. Two questions:

1) Can anyone tell what those brown and black spots are and whether they're cause for some real concern?
2) Can I still save the main plant, or if not, at least the smaller offshoots?
