Default Cyrtopodium punctatum #2

This is a first bloom seedling with very nice shape compared to the previous Cyrt I posted. I have this growing in a clay pot with 50/50 sand/peat moss mix. It gets full Texas sun all and thrives in the heat.

NOTE: Do not grow your Cymbidiums like this. They require different growing conditions.

First bloom seedling #Cyrtopodium #punctatum grown in #austin #texas. I really like how the green and orange on this species seems to glow in sunlight. Can't really capture that with my iPhone. #orchid #orchids #orchidea #orchideas #orchidstagram #orchids by Stephen Van Kampen-Lewis, on Flickr

I think you both are just stirring the pot! First of all as I hope everyone recognized, this is not a Cym. Secondly, no warm growing Cyms grow well in this severe an environment. Isurus79 clearly and properly stated " Do not grow your Cymbidiums like this. They require different growing conditions."

Thanks for the soil mix advice, I have been struggling with a small Cyrt and now feel like my choice of potting media was all wrong.
