Default Cymbidium Enzan Oberon "Gelee"

Hello, I recently received a Cymbidium Enzan Oberon "Gelee" orchid and I was wondering: How do I take care of it? Apparently there are more heat-tolerant ones and I'm not sure if this one is. Thanks!

Apparently "modern" ones are heat tolerant, mini ones are more flexible and big ones like cooler temperatures.

There are links to basic Cym care here: Basic Cymbidium culture (links)

I don't know if this one is warmth tolerant. "Warmth tolerant" in Cyms means that they don't require the period of cool night temps in autumn to initiate spikes. Cyms in general are quite heat tolerant, but during extremely hot weather are best off if shaded during the hottest part of the day, especially midday, tho, if acclimated, don't seem bothered much by hot sun.

Mold - no. Rot - only if you over water it. Follow the basic link White Rabbit sent you to start. Also keep in mind that the climate wherever you are will play a part in how you water and care for your plant.

"Modern" Cymbidiums are not all heat or temperature tolerant, only certain lines of breeding specifically designed for those hobbyists wanting to grow Cyms in areas not really ideal for growing the genus.

If you have other questions, one of us here will be glad to see if they an answer.
