I could have sworn I posted photos - sorry!

Yes, it did bloom. 18 of 20 buds opened (last 2 buds at the end of the spike blasted). I was still pretty happy.

I will try to post pics later on.

It looks as if you will need to repot in the spring, after it is finished blooming. Roots really do not like living on top of old mix. Until then, you might want to top the pot off with fresh mix. Just remember you did so and not think the mix looks OK in the spring when it comes time to repot.

Hi C.L. The name is in the title of the thread. Cymbidium Tommy is RHS registered.

I will likely repot in the next couple of weeks.
