I don't visit very often - and only found this thread because I was looking for some info about this particular species.
Most growers in UK think that it needs a dry rest in the winter, but kept warm ( as compared to most UK orchid houses).
Sopme say , rest when the leaves turn yellow and drop , but I find that growing them with cattleyas, that never happens - so last year I carried on watering through the winter, and saw my first flower spike.
