Can you post a photo? Tell us some about how you have been caring for it?

Repotting while in spike/bloom could have caused the spike to die, tho I don't think it would likely cause a pbulb to die.

Yes, a photo would help but knowing the number of green growths would be a help too. It is best never to repot a cym with the blooom spike on it as it will take strength from the division. I suspect that the roots were rotten from living in rock wool. Were they firm or soft? If soft, did you remove them or just curl everything up and push it back in the pot with the new mix?

Your mix also seems a bit coarse for Cyms if it is medium bark and stones. It would help if you could be more specific, and as a White Rabbit encouraged you to do, send photos.

i know where i went wrong,i've been so busy lately i've been running around like a headless chicken.the roots were fine in the rockwool not rotten at all,the reason i changed to a more coarse medium is because i have a problem overwatering and cant seem to help myself.i forgot that i now i had to water more so the plant was dry.
