its been outdoors for a while - and now in bloom. Only 3 blooms but even outdoors you can smell the lemony scent. They are a much darker colour compared to indoor blooms.

Most ensifoliums only carry 3-6 flowers. That is the nature of the species.

Actually I have a flask run of ones I got from Pakkret Floriculture that spike 8-11 flowers on a spike. I think there are some good ones that just haven't made the rounds.

coincidentally, since this thread popped up again, there are another 2 spikes that will bloom in the next 2 weeks. I haven't had this happen before ( blooming more than 1x per year ), maybe the Chicago overnight temp variation is something this plant appreciates.

in bloom - 2 spikes of 4 and 5 blooms.
I have brought it indoors and the scent fills the room, fresh, fragrant and hints of lemon.
