Hallo everyone! I have another question for you, I would want to know how to devide my Ansellia African orchid that I bought 3 years ago one has not repotted it since. It is planted in gravel and has 4 new growths, I am growing it oursoors. Here in South Africa at the moment it is the beginnig of summer. I would really appreciated it if you helped me with telling me how to devide it. Happy gardening!!

I don't grow this, but imagine that like other orchids you want any divisions to consist of at least three mature / old growths, plus one new growing.

Hopefully someone familiar with this can chime in with any special considerations, if there are any.

I also thought so, it is a very big plant about 20 growths including the 4 new ones

I have one for over 30 years. I very rarely divide it, as it has one of the strongest root systems I have ever seen. If you really intend to divide, make one brutal cut.

So I should just plant it in a larger pot?

This is much more beneficial for the plant.
