Bonjour Al & Carol
It doesn't matter if they don't like you - just kick them out
Naw, you'd be surprised how well they could do. Just keep them under good lighting, don't allow to dry out, these should be kept damp, not wet. FEED these puppies. The warm growers can bloom a few times a year, which I think makes them interesting and fun to grow.
My warm growers can take to the heat very well, they love it and will grow faster with the heat & high humidity we have here - it's like a sauna during the summer time here.
(IMO) they are more then just tolerant of high heats.
They can be slowly introduced to the warm sunlight - although I don't go past 12 o'clock.
My warm gorwers stand from 2 feet to almost 3 feet - so yes they are smaller compared to many of the coolish growers, but still fair sized orchids to keep.
I think Pheli has some of the even smaller types
Do a forum search for "Cymbidium Ensifoliums" or "warm growing cymbidiums"
You should be able to draw up a
warm growing list from that. Lemmie know if you don't find that eh?!
Al, I'm not good with photos, but I do think I have one or 2 in my gallery.
About the tempts - Carol, mine can range from 65 to upper 80's.
Regards,
