is a Golden Elf.. I got it last year and it was in bud and flowered. Stayed cold all winter and this spring popped up 6 new pups for me from 3 old bulbs. I think I can grow the warm cyms
its a strong growing plant that likes the orchiata, charcoal and dyna rok like everything else does. enjoys the light and gets plenty.
hopefully I get some flowers maybe later this year?
not from Odoms. It came from Clown alley orchids from one of the Hawaiian vendors. Its scent reminded of fresh green citrus smell. The smell of green lemons.
I got him some Odoms grwing buddies comin
its a compact grower I guess by most standards . It grows up more than out. I like plants that grow up more than out. You can get more plants in a tight space if they grow up instead of across the room
I am surprised actually it has done so well for me but when I read about the golden elf it seems to be a fool proof cym noobs plant. its lived with me for over a year its pretty much foolproof

I do too. Hence, I do not keep many phals any more but keep dendrobiums. all about saving space now until moving into bigger livingspace.

Definitely a popular, easy growing, small plant liking warm conditions and blooming in early fall with a lovely scent. The cultivar 'Sundust' has been highly mericloned and is available through many, many vendors in all parts of the world.
Wow! That's beautiful! I got a really nice Golden Elf many years ago and killed it dead. Actually...he had all kinds of junk on it's leaves and I hated the way it looked. Nothing I could do stopped it....so I euthanized it!
I LOVE cymbidiums though. I only have one. Got it last year and it's a warm grower that has never done anything but sit there and look sweet. I'll give him a year or so and then give him away if he doesn't get it together. (Or if I don't get it together!)
