In answer to both Cym Ladye and bud There are marks on both sides of the leaf it goes through and I have contacted the adress given by Nikki and will indeed check out ebay (america) uk does not have any on there site and the test kit here is cheap but mailing for some reason is not

Virus can only be determined by testing. Contact that lab nikkik gave you and make arrangements how you can send samples....or, an orchid virus kit can be purchased cheap at Ebay for $10 a piece. I am sure they can mail it to you in UK with no customs hassles....
I couldnt see a virus kit on ebay can you send me a link
