My Cymbidiella pardalina is still a young plant. I didn't exspect flowers in this season. But while watering in the morning I made a happy discovery. I'll keep you updated.

Surprised it is spiking so late. Most cyms that I have seen are already in full bloom.

pardalina is not the typical standard hybrid you see at stores during winter.

It is supposed to bloom in the spring.

By the way, it is always nice to spot a spike or a new growth starting, right?

I love that moment!

Nice!

btw, for those who might be confused - this species is in the genus Cymbidiella , not Cymbidium, tho it is in the Cymbidium alliance.

The spike develloped fast, and now I am enjoying flowers for nearly eight weeks.

It is absolutely breathtaking, I love this color so much! I have one of these, it is also only near blooming size so I can't wait for the day I will find some spike on mine! Really amazing!
