Default Cymbidium fever

I recently got bitten by the cymbidium bug. Seems I have the fever.

Quay sent me Asian cymbidiums last year and they didn't do much except they did...I just wasn't paying attention. Anyway, as I wait for their spikes to form and flower I also am trying my hand at growing their big siblings.

Ming 'Emperor'

This is ovation emerald- very green flower:

Creme Puff. Hate the name but love the apple blossom look. Makes me long for spring.

Jealous!!!!! I want to try cyms so bad, but they are big and I don't have that much room. They are also rather expensive when I find them. Guess I will have to enjoy yours for now.

I also love cymbidiums, but they are too big and I cannot chill them to make them flower again.

Santa Barbara Orchid estate has lots of cymbidiums and price is really great too.

I just like to visit the website and enjoy the beautiful pictures every now and then.

You have beautiful flowers, Ryan....now that you understand your environment and added supplementary humidity....you can grow anything.
And Cymbidium is one of my collectibles=the Asian ones and the large noids from supermarkets....they come often than scarcely but they always have the fragrance I like.

Wow thanks guys! Glad you enjoy them. They're stunning in person. So wonder cymbidium have the unofficial name of king of orchids. They're impressive plants.
