Default Cymbidium surprise!

Last summer, a neighbor offered me a few small divisions of her Cyms (no i.d.s). Plants looked not too bad, tho not robust, a couple definitely looked like they needed more sun. I gave them fertilizer, put them at the side of the house, watered regularly - didn't expect any spikes this year, but a couple surprised me with spikes a few months ago.

I had no idea what the blooms might look like ... One had only a handful of buds (one of the two that had droopy foliage), but they were deliciously dark colored, so I was very excited to see what they would look like. The other got 20 buds.

The dark, reddish colored blooms are about 3".

The yellow ones are about 2".

I'm going to have to find a better spot for these ...

Thanks for looking
