My first Cymbidium bloom!
This is my first successful rebloom of a Cymbidium.
It started spiking back in July... made these wonderful buds. And sat there until now.
They aren't presented very well.. but they are green and yellow, and very different from the standard cymbidiums you see fit sale down here.
There's a light fragrance.

Nice refreshing color!
Does it stay like this or the greener part turns yellow?

It stays green most of its life. Near the end it starts to slowly yellow. It never gets as yellow as the lip though.

Hmm.... I'm terrible at describing this one as I have nothing to compare it to.
Light and fresh with hints of spice. A nice sunny but crisp spring day comes to mind.
It's not very strong though. You have to stick your face in the flowers.

Very pretty! Congratulations on the blooms!
I have some orchids like this...they bud and then, forever later, they finally bloom. Actually, many of my orchids are like this.

So far I've only successfully rebloomed 4 orchids. I'm hoping more is to come.
It's kind if nerve wracking! So much can happen to them in that time.

I do too! Next time I'm going to shade the buds like you suggested and see if I can't get it greener...
