I got this as a small division about 5 years ago - bloomed for the first time for me last fall. I was worried that may have been a freak accident
- so, I was very happy to see spikes on it a while back!
There are 3 spikes blooming now, plus one more that has just recently shown buds.
Mine is potted in chc mix, plastic pot (approx. 1 gallon). I let the media get nearly dry before watering. It gets a good deal of morning sun, into early afternoon in summer - much less this time of year.
Grows outdoors year-round here in zone 9. Takes temps up to just over 100 for short periods, and down to freezing (or just below) for short periods (sheltered). Took a short, but hard dumping of small (unexpected) hail a couple of years ago - still bears some marked foliage from that event
