Default Wanted: Cym. Rodco's Creation w/o virus

Hi, I had a Cym. Rodco's Creation that proved to be virus (by Critter Creak) so I tossed it into the burn pit. It had a beautiful blossom & I would love to replace it w/one that isn't virused. Does anyone know where I can get one?
Thank you.

Lee, Cym. Rodco Creation was a hybrid made by Rod Mc Clellan in 1972, ie 40 years ago. It was a decent yellow at the time, but nothing special. Unless you have a personal attachment to this particular cross, I would recommend taking a look at the bonanza of lovely, clear deep yellows out there in the marketplace and in virus free collections today. And unless you know the cultivar name of your old plant, the chances of getting one identical to it are few and far between.

Try Googling it on the Internet and see what might come up if you are determined to replace, at least the same cross.

Yes. I have a bunch of very old C. hybrids from different places. One is C. Karen Gubler and I was able to find the grower in Landers, Ca. They told me that they didn't grow it anymore because as Cym Lady said, there are lots of newer, better crosses with better parentage available. Bigger, longer lasting flowers with better substance.
