Funny you mention that, I just emailed him! He gave me a bunch at the end of the day yesterday, more than I know what to do with! He is a great guy, we had fun all weekend selling plants next to each other. He is traveling right now though, so I don't know how fast his response will be.

I'm 100% sure, your plant is not 'Song Mei' or even 'Hong Song Mei'.

I just Google Translated the Chinese text to confirm. The seller posted a listing for Chuen Lan 'Song Mei'. So if the name is really Chuen Lan 'Hong Song Mei', that's a total of 5 characters, it doesn't match yours. If I'm not mistaken, the Chinese character for Hong means red, I still remember what that character looks like, and yours doesn't contain that character.

As for Lien Ban, I'm not quite sure if it really is that or not. My Chinese is pretty bad, I grew up learning Chinese in Chinese school here in America.

I'm 100% sure the first two characters on your tag means "Spring Orchid", or Cym georingii.

Is Shunran the traditional name for all Cym. goeringii? I'm not sure so that's why I'm asking. EDUCATE ME!

Okay, thanks! I'll just see what Matthew says! Any tips on growing them?

Yes it is, like Furan is for Neofinetia falcata

I grow mine in tall and narrow cymbidium plastic pots (you can get them from Seed Engei or OL for example)
in pure Orchiata bark. The usually potting mix is very draining (lots of mineral material) but I found out it does very well in orchiata as long as you don't over water
Was warm as you can but shady in summer, less water when flower buds emerge from the base of growths (autumn) and dry cold rest in winter.
I just have a post on mine in you look in the recent threads in Cymbidium forum

another info from a member of another forum
Cymbidium goeringii, a cold hardy terrestrial orchid from east Asia

I was thinking, from my experience with Matt's plants, the good name is the one on the little tag taped to the leaf. The bigger name tags, he had them loose in a bag and would look for the one matching the leaf tage when selling the plant.
So I would think the first picture you posted woudl be the good name the the plants. Just my 2c.

I went through hell and high water for this one...

The third character is Lian, which means lotus. 100% sure.

The fourth character may have been written incorrectly or it may be a different way of writing it.

I think the fourth character may have been intended to be written as 辧, instead of the way the character is written on your tag; which would be Ban - meaning 'to manage' or 'to handle'.
