Beautiful Cymbidium Vampire

This is my Cymbidium "Vampire" the tag is faded but the clone is vampire. Much deeper red in person and smells wonderful like roses and pomegranates.

A really old thread... but as far as Cymbidiums in general go, where do you live? It can be difficult to get ideal Cym conditions when you have to deal with frosty winters requiring indoor growing (less-than-bright light for not enough hours) , or summers with hot muggy nights (small diurnal range) Though there ARE some hybrids that are hot-muggy-nights tolerant. I'm spoiled... I put them on the patio, squirt them with a hose when I think about it (very hard water), and they bloom their little heads off. On the other hand, I have to go to a lot of trouble and expense to grow other orchids that are easy in other places. (I think we all want it ALL)

There is a Happy, Pakkret, Regal, Red and Valley Vampire; there is a Vampire Beauty, Vampire Melody and a Vampirella but no RHS registration for Vampire. Is there another name attached to your plant label aside from Vampire?
