Jack, there are cymbidiums for many climates, from cool to very warm. Maybe some will work where you are.

hehe - Yes, it's awesome when you finally get blooms on a plant you have been growing for quite some time! Honestly, you could've knocked me over with a feather when I first spotted this spike - I had given up most hope of this blooming for me ... And then, I was checking it frequently to be sure it still looked like a spike, and not new growth

It looks great! I discovered two spikes last night when I got home from our Christmas vacation. Super excited for that.

Really happy for you! I know pretty well how it feels when you finally get one of your plants to bloom. Great looking bloom! Looking forward to seeing all the buds in bloom!
