Cyms actually do best with what I like to call "studied neglect" as they often bloom best when stressed - hence the cutting back of fertilizer amounts and definitely reducing nitrogen in late summer to early fall.
Jouni, That is stunning! My erythrostylum x Cym Olymilum 'Ivory Elf' MAY have a single spike forming. It is still too early to tell, but it is the right time of year. If it is indeed a flower spike, I will be so happy as it will be the first bloom from this seedling, purchased several years ago. I hope it is as good looking as yours!
