In my experience, miniature cymbidiums can take more heat than standard cyms. However without a day and night temp. difference, they won't set bloom, especially in the fall.
I use to grow a few cyms. under lights when I lived back east, but I always summer them outside till first frost. They bloom reliably growing that way. I think the autumn chill sets the spikes.
In general bug free except for slugs which I drown my putting the entire plant in a tub of water. Slugs will come to the surface.
Good luck
Andrew
