Very pretty. Is this the color of the species or is there something else in it? My screen shows just the barest of pink in the sepals. Is this so or is it white white? I'll have to get one. I like it a lot. Does it flower now reliably or is it more a late winter bloomer?

The sepals are not even close to white (the petals are). This photo might show the contrast more clearly:


there is some variety of colors in this species, so if you're looking for one, make sure you see it in bloom before you buy it.

This is the first bloom for me, but from what I've heard, it usually blooms in late spring or early summer.

It's very different. From what I've heard, this species grows around waterfalls, where it gets frequent mist in early spring, with the dry part of the year being summer.
