Default Hanging out in my Cymbidium

I have a completely confused Cymbidium that is just now blooming - way late in the year for South Florida. But apparently it has an admirer... enjoy :-)

Maybe it was that week or so of cooler weather we got last month that confused it? Whatever the case, congrats. I am also always delighted to see the less frequent green anoles, as opposed to the brown anoles that are much more common.

Blooms are good whenever they come. Your Cymbidium's friend fits right in with the other buds.

I have a weakness for Cymbidiums. I hope you share it with us when it opens.

Hi Charmaine, this particular cymbidium is Cym. Chen's Ruby 'Gold Tiger'. Here's a picture from when it flowered previously. It even has a slight fragrance. This plant had one flower spike earlier this year in February and is now surprisingly growing two more. Bit late in the year but hey, I'm not complaining. I'm just glad I didn't get around to dividing/repotting it yet... procrastination sometimes does have its reward

I love cymbidiums too, one of the few drawbacks about living in South Florida is that I cannot successfully flower many of the big standard cymbidiums that prefer colder weather like California. But I can never say no to a temperature tolerant cym...
