Default Cymbidium Miss Taipei Unveiled

This is a great mini (relatively) using C. sinense in the cross. It is tolerant to warmer temps than most Cymbidiums and the flowers are lightly fragrant. This one often blooms twice a year, usually in spring and again in the fall. In fact, this is the second spike for this year.

Quite a few cymbidiums have cupped flowers naturally, but on this the sepals and petals appear a bit swept back as if to say, "Look at me!"

I am looking and this is gorgeous. Great photo too. Keep them coming!

The leaves are about 2 feet long. My plant is only in a 4.5" pot and has 7 mature pseudobulbs and 4 new growths...I fear it will get large quite quickly. The pot is nearly splitting from the roots so I expect a 6" pot will be in the very near future. Wish I could find those tall, narrow chinese ceramic pots..these hybrids look so nice in those.

That is beautiful! Thats tons of new growth for you, next blooming will be awesome!

I'm not sure how large the chinese population is in newfoundland. If it is small, perhaps that is why you can't find these pots? I get mine from local chinese crafts importers (if you get them anywhere else they are too expensive).
I think some also sell some on eBay but it will cost a lot that way because of the shipping charges. I also read that cloud's orchids has some too, but no shipping on them.
