Yes, that helps a lot. I need to put mine out in Spring rather than waiting until summer. Do you use a bloom booster for orchids or just a generic one?

I just use a generic one. Can't remember without running to the greenhouse but maybe Plant Prod. I know it's not Schultz. I think all the natural sun and breezes does wonders for them.

Where do you live? I have to worry about mine drying out every day here in Denver when outside, we have little to no humidity and very hot days. We have to water our regular potted plants every day or they die outside.

I live in Saskatchewan, Canada on the dry prairies. We get quite warm dry days for much of the summer, but we can get some rainy spells too. Not like our west coast at all. The air is usually dry and breezy. I find that since they are potted in fairly deep pots (cyms like that) that they don't dry out daily. We go away to the lake for 5 days at a time and they are fine with no attention from me. Actually they are in metal plant stands and about 5 times this summer the poor things got blown over and who knows how long they laid on their sides before I spotted them each time and they still bloomed for me!
