Great job Silken, beautiful blooms. Do you grow them outdoors in the summer? If so, when do you bring them inside for the winter? I ask because I have several cyms but they have just started to spike, so mine are 2 or 3 months behind yours.

Thanks Brenda. I do grow them outside. I didn't really note the dates when they go out and come in. But after risk of frost. This year we had a really late fall and they were out till close to the end of Oct. if I remember correctly. When I brought them in they already had the spikes started about 1/2 inch. I have 2 NOID's and the other is close to opening its buds too. They do go from spike to bloom much quicker than many orchids! But this is earlier than some times to have blooms. One year it was blooming in March when we have our garden show. It sits on the south side of our garage in a somewhat protected area but gets a lot of morning and early afternoon sun. I have read that they are fairly heavy feeders, so feed them more in the summer than some orchids.

Be sure to post photos of your blooms when they arrive!

Thanks ewcia1028. The 2nd spike is getting ready to open and the first one still looks fresh and lovely. The blooms have a real nice scent, kind of spicy and sweet.

Thanks! The 2nd spike has 18 blooms on it and the 3rd is just starting to open while spike 1 and 2 are still looking fresh as ever! This is the best this plant has ever performed for me It even smells real nice!
