The green form of
tracyanum is considered by most growers to be the more common form. Hybridizers over the years have sought to emphasize the dark burgundy markings, which give the species its most exotic look.
Just a note, when displaying
tracyanum: rather than staking it upright, it is much more attractive to let it arch as it would in the wild, with minimum support. I have always believed that Cym species are best presented when they look like species, not like a staked-to-the-max hybrid.
