Steve,
This definitely appears to be Cym. tracyanum, heavily ruffled white lip, lined underside of column, maroon barred segments and I presume fragrance? I have seen darker cultivars but the form of this is very nice with the non curling segments. Nice job!

Thank you! So far I can only detect a light fragrance. Do you know how long the blooms have to be fully open before they emit their scent?

The warmer the weather, the stronger the fragrance, and it should start when the flowers are fully open. As more flowers open, the fragrance is intensified by pure numbers. Some cultivars are more fragrant than others, but it is not an overwhelming fragrance as in some catts. Quite powerful while driving in an enclosed car, however!

Nearly all the buds on the first spike have now opened--and I've (miraculously!) managed to keep from whacking any of them off during the nightly moves when the plant is taken outdoors to enjoy the chilly evening temperature.

White Rabbit,
If you will contact me privately, I will send you a link to a top commercial Southern California grower selling Cym tracyanum 'FCC/RHS divisions from $15- $25 on his annual Fall Division List.
