Wondering if your fertilizer has sufficient Calcium, Magnesium and other micro's - what thought has been given to this detail/.

Glad to hear the cyms are fine and going to bloom for you. I have one with 3 large spikes at the moment and two of them are in full bloom. They have the sticky nectar that looks like a water drop at every joint where the flower meets the stem and where each flower stem meets the main spike. This is normal and seen on various types of orchids. The only thing to watch for is that it could attract bugs and sometimes bugs such as aphids secrete a honey dew that may look similar but is there for bad reasons!

I was hovering over these plants to the point, I don't think they liked it. :rofl:

I backed off and let them do their thing. Last watering they got was rain water.

Also put them out in a light rain.

Ok, here are some photos (I think) :)

Remember I had 3 plants, cut the roots and separated them into 6 pots.

I believe one pot will fail, but I didn't expect spikes from any of them.

At least at this time they are showing something. You guys would have them all blooming but.... I'm :biggrin:

Those look great! Can't wait to see all the blooms! I find that my spikes grew so much from one day to the next, that you have to really be diligent and get them staked before they get too big. It's easy to bump buds off (and I did) if you stake them when they are further along. Yours may not get as tall as mine did but mine needed staking or would be pendulous.

I suspect that the bulbs sending out bloom spikes had already initiated internal spike nodes when you divided them. To expect flower blooms on only a 2 bulb division is most often nothing more than wishful thinking.
