Default Dying cym

around 6 months ago I was given a cym 'stem' with 12 leaves or so, it was some relatevely new growth with no pseudobulbs.
I put it on some bark compost and slowly half of the leaves have dry, it just has 6 now.
It has not grow at all and the root (just one and it was half rotten) it had at the begining is dead.
DOES ANYBODY KNOW HOW COULD I SAVE IT??

Alex, I wished I were the savior here, but I have no clue on Cym's. Hopefully someone will pop up and help you. Just wanted to let you know your post is not being ignored.

Sorry to hear about your orchid, Alex.
How tall are these leaves? I'm thinking sphag & bag method.
How are you growing this - lighting, inside - outside?
12 leaves with no bulb - I'm think cold grower

Hang in there Alex

Hi Alex:
Mine are in volcanic gravel (tezontle) and they do very well, you my try some material similar to this one, however as soon as you note some root development you have to use fertilizer, I recomend some slow relese pelets like osmocote 20-20-20.
Muchos saludos

I would suggest K-L-N mixed with a low nitrogen fertilizer (like a blossom booster) to try and build up the roots and immune system......If it's not already too late (god forbid!)

All my Cyms are, of course, warm-growers (except one which came to me from Michigan)...I have them in plain fir bark in large CD holders with big holes all around them. They get fed along with all the others but since you need some root growth, add a few drops of K-L-N to each gallon of water you use to help it along.
As for lighting...as much sun as it can take without getting burned.

Keep us updated, okay?

try potting the cym in smaller pot maybe pot is holding to much moisture if outside grown put the cym under cover where water wont get in let it dry out for few weeks
