I got a grammatocymbidium "lovely melody" a few weeks back and am not sure if it is very happy. The leaves have gotten an inch or two taller, but it came kind of beat up. I would really love to know how others are keeping grammcyms, as I haven't ever kept this hybrid before.

I personally keep it in my living room, which has Southern exposure, and I did have it 5-6 feet from the window so it only got ambient light. But it's leaves started looking dark, so I moved it closer to the window. It now sits in the window and gets a lot of ambient light and some direct sun in the late afternoon. I water it by soaking on Wed's and Sun's, and fertilize it on Sun's as well. It has four bulbs, one of which is dormant, one only has two leaves (two very tall leaves), and the other two have multiples leaves (one is putting up more right now).

only thing I know so far is it doesnt like to get as cold as the cym. I have my cyms under a shade cloth all year here and the leaves got too cold sometime when it got below 40s. now if it gets colder then 50s i put it in the gh or it stays out side
