Living here in thailand i just bought a Cymbidium tracyanum i think i can divide it into 3. wondering about poting it. potting soil, clay or plastic pot. and any other info on to help make the plant happy

hi thumper,
i use pine bark, finer then most cyms as the roots are thinner, with perlit, to give it a bit of areation. if perlit is hard to find foam chunks or pebble work just aswell. I would avoid a clay pot as it drys the medium out too quickly. hope this helps and good luck.

Default i went with plastic

also mix rocks in the planting soil. i did split the clump and i will need to construct a support system for both plants.
