Here is my Pistachio Mint 'Geyserland' that I picked up at Wal-Mart yesterday! The whole plant, Cymbidium Pistachio Mint 'Geyserland' | Flickr - Photo Sharing! The inflorescence, Cymbidium Pistachio Mint 'Geyserland' | Flickr - Photo Sharing! and a flower close-up, Cymbidium Pistachio Mint 'Geyserland' | Flickr - Photo Sharing! I was at the store with my parents, and when I saw a bunch of these, a huge grin broke across my face as I speed up past my parents. "No, you can't get one!" Is what they said when they realized where I was heading! I noticed an interesting thing that the lips turn reddish-pink on the flowers that have lost their pollen.

LOL, that's why I'm glad that I'm grown up and living on my own, there's no one to tell me that I can't buy more orchids!! My mom used to give me a tough time about getting more orchids.

For the blooms that are turning reddish, that's actually the beginning of the aging process. They'll get redder and redder and eventually fall off.

That is what I thought Camille. Because it is only happening to the flowers that have no pollina, and I know losing the pollina causes the flowers to drop!

It was my money, so in the end they didn't really care, but of course they protested at first thinking I don't need another 'chid. But I always think, "YOU aren't the ones with orchid fever!"

A gorgeous green (and this comes from someone who generally doesn't care for green flowers)!
