Cymbidium Noid finally bloomed Male
Talking Cymbidium Noid finally bloomed

I don't think I've ever obsessed about a specific plant as I did with this one, but after a couple of years of not getting any flowers I think the anticipation had built up. I must have looked at the flower buds every day to see if they grew from the previous day.

I got this plant from my mom when it was not in bloom, she had it submerged in a bucked of water when I first saw the plant, needless to say, a few of the roots were rotted.

The plant has 4" yellow flowers and the icing on the cake is that they smell REALLY nice during the day. Sorry for the bad pictures.
