I'm not really positive but my thoughts are that this is NOT Tracey Reddaway but in fact Milton Carpenter 'Everglades Gold'.. which is very warm tolerant and would indeed be in bloom now in Florida and this color. Tracey Reddaway tends to have a more solid red lip IMHO. This of course does not detract from the beauty of the flower only that perhaps it was mislabeled

I think you are right on this one, Bob. Thanksgiving has a large flat flower on a tall spike and big bulbs when well grown. Flowers are well out of the foliage. The cross Milton Carpenter on the other hand, tends to have slightly smaller flowers but often large in proportion to the plant. It tends to carry a lower count of starry flowers on short spikes like the Golden Elf parent. 'Everglades Gold' appears to be the best of the cross - what I now tend to call a "Florida Cymbidium" to account for its warmth tolerance and bright color.
