I just got this one so I can't take credit for the bloom. Flowers are fragrant.

Hmm, interesting novelty cross; how many flowers per spike on this one?

It has 3 spikes with 5 flowers each on 2 spikes and 3 on the other one. I'm not sure if this is the first time if bloomed but I don't see any old spike.

Thanks Izzie, sorry I'm very bad at describing scent. The best way I can descibe it is that it has a very soft and pleasant smell.

Hello Marissa,

I wrote a little story about this plant last year. It is quite variable and comes in a range of colours. Glad to see another of the seedlings flowering. Here is the link to my webpage story.

Chuckie: Cymbidium Kusuda Shining X Cymbidium erythrostylum

I am sure you will like the hybrid. It is a good grower and will only improve on the second flowering.

All the best,

Chuckie

Great story, thanks for sharing. I feel so lucky to own this one. Did the ones George has, had any fragrance?

Hello Marissa,

Yes, they all smelled nice. Not overly strong but very pleasant. It is hard to know which one is the nicest. Ha Bui has a nice plant of the cross as well. A beautiful delicate pink. They all seem to be strong growers and clump up nicely. I personally only have one small seedling that has not flowered yet. Can't wait to see how it comes out.

All the best,

Chuckie
