Actually, the
judges in America want flat, full and round, almost impossible to attain. The Aussie judges are fully accepting of a round, full, cupped form. But as an AOS judge in the US, I far prefer a round and slightly saucered form as it gives a far more pleasing overall appearance in my opinion. I guess I am about 1/2 way between the Aussie judges acceptance of a more cupped form and the USA desire for a flatter form. As you say, we each have our own interpretation of what we prefer.
But I digress. My question as to your choice was as to the ultimate plant size of your new acquisition. These standards can get quite large and difficult to handle. I guess I would have thought you might have chosen a smaller plant size yet one still meeting your color choices.
