Hi Bob

No, I have not tested the two plants I have for virus. There are no signs to suggest it is infected. The plant is a clone that was propagated in Taiwan. I will hopefully have flasks of this species in the future if the seed proves viable from the selfing.

As for other flasks. I can source flasks from Thailand through various suppliers and sell them at ok prices with certificates. I dont do it as a regular thing though. my day job takes more time than I would like

Brett,

Keep an eye on the pods as I have had Asian Cym pods mature in 4 months with viable seed.

hi CL

Thanks.. I think the ensifolium will be the soonest. It has been on there since December I think or maybe longer. I forgot to date that one.

The sinsense are not that old as you can see from the thread.

I look at my orchids daily as the wardian case is just outside my bedroom door

Brett :

From the photos, it seems you have lots of flasks going

If you ever want to sell a Cym. sinense flask, please add me to your list.

Rodrigo

Hi Rodrigo

I have made a note in my diary and will let you know when I have harvested the seed. I guess it is going to be little while though until I have the flasks ready.

Do you have an update?

I'm looking for a variegated cym. to try and this one with fragrance looks like a winner.

I'd like more info about where and who you got the plant from if you have it.

Thanks.

Cheers.
Jim

I just opened the yellowing pods 5/12/2010. So thats about 10 months now. The seed is an ivory yellow and very fly away. I am sending a good sized amount to the terrestrial orchid seed bank next week. Terrestrial Orchids or you can pm me if you want a sample. If you have seed to swap even better.
