Default A Green Cymbidium

It should be called greensleeves but the name is Cym. Sarah Jean x Cym. Madam d'Estaing. Sarah Jean has the reputation of being possibly the best cymbidium hybrid ever produced. To flower any cymbidium in Florida where conditions are very poor is a real challenge but some of them do flower without a lot of effort and this just happens to be one of them. I have about a dozen potted plants that I set in my daylily bed where they get full morning sun and the same treatment that the daylilies receive.

A beauty of a plant. And it has a name! It is Cymbidium Mont Niron bred by the Eric Young Orchid Foundaton from the cross you mentioned except that it is Madame Giscard D'Estaing. The cross was registered in 1987.

Cricketerry, I think I must have gotten this plant before it was named. I have had it for a long time and it has been divided many times and shared with friends. Thanks very much for the information.
