Default Japanese Cym hybrid and Chdrh hirtzii

One of my beautiful Cymbidium hybrids is in bloom! It's an early bird for the bunch!

I got it in an orchid show here in CA a couple years ago, I forgot the vendor's name and I lost the tag.

The vendor sells Japanese bred Cymbidium hybrids and this is one of the pink cupped varieties.

It is named. I just don't remember what it is and I lost the tag.

Then there's Chondrorhyncha hirtzii. I just got this last Friday. It was in bloom when I got it. Unfortunately, one of the lateral sepals was damaged and fell off when it got home.

Here's the Cymbidium hybrid:

Love the colour of that Cym. The hirtzii looks pretty cool, great colour. Forgive my ignorance but is that quite a small one, it looks like it from your pic.

Thank you. Me and my mom love it. It's very cheery. Particularly when I drive into the driveway and I spot it out of the corner of my eye. Definitely a beauty and it makes me happy to see that something is finally in bloom after several months of just seeing leaves.

No problem.

It's a relatively small plant. It's not a micro-miniature. But it's not large either. The largest growth is about 10 cm (about 4") tall. This plant grows upright at an angle (just in case you're wondering).

The flower itself is not very small. The pic's just a close-up.

I'd say the flower is about 4 cm to 5 cm long. With both lateral sepals intact, it'd be about 5 cm wide. It's probably around 4 cm tall.

The inflorescence grows upright and is about 7.5 cm maybe 8 cm tall.

I can't measure it accurately right now, I just pollinated it and it looks like it'll produce a pod.
