Default Have 2 cymbs. with fuzzy labels. Can you help identify?

One label looks like "Kegley's PK." (Peak?) and the other looks like "Lowicarandiflorum" (the "Lowi" seems clear and "florum" is very clear (a miniature). I have tried google searches to find these cymbidiums with no luck. The label for "Kegley's PK." may be missing something. Can anyone help me identify. Thanks.

Kack,

Often times it is impossible to decipher blurred labels but in this case, I think I can help on the second as Lowio-grandiflorum (Cym. lowianum x Cym. grandiflorum). However, it is not a miniature as both parents are standards. The only way it could possibly be a smaller plant is if it is only one of the parents and there is another name on your tag that is totally missing.

In regard to the first tag, it might help to know where you got this plant. Many plants that are shipped in from the Taiwan pot plant mericlone market only have one name and maybe a color. They do this deliberately to hide the cross from "prying eyes". They could use a number representing the cross number but are basically too lazy! Sad state for those of us keeping named collections.

Hope this helps a little,

CL

Default Thanks OL

I appreciate the time you took to reply. It's dark now, but tomorrow I'll look at the label again, but I think you may be right.
