Way to make things happen! I think some times they need a bit of a "shake up" to get them to do something. Guess you'll be lining your driveway with them againg next summer? Beautiful color.

You'd better believe I will have them all lined up getting their suntan! I have about 8 cymbidium and everyone has at least 2 spikes and some up to 4 or 5!

Cyms are one of my favorites but don't do well here in the deep south. I just love the color. Nice find, name or no name. I'm jealous! Keep growing.

That's a beautiful rich looking red Cymbidium. I just loooove it. They are one of my favorite orchids... but only the warm loving ones bloom for us. Continue to bake them, it seems to work well. Happy growing.

Default Wow!

Beautiful!!
I had the same experience!!
Last year no spikes, then I baked em and many are spiking! I have mine on a large porch of our barn and I can shut the big doors when it's too cold so they have had cool temps (40-35F) all fall.
