Corina,

It appears to be another red mericlone from the very successful Red Beauty cross. It is a Standard in size and requirements, although I have found that Red Beauty and its progeny tend to be more sensitive to frost than many other Standard Cymbidiums.

Keep from frost and place outside when finished blooming and weather permits. If you are in a temperate zone and your plants can be outside all year, do so, as keeping an out of bloom Cym. in a warm house is not the best scenario for strong growth and bloom for the next year.

I am fortunate to be able to keep mine outside all year with frost protection, but when I do bring them in the house to enjoy, I wait until all the buds are open and then never leave them in more than two weeks.

Thank you very much. I do not have the luck of being able to leave them outside all year long, but i keep them in a kool closed terrace, until spring. Here we wait for snow in a few weeks.
The other cyms i have like it , out in spring and summer and fall, inside in winter. It is good to know this one is a little bit more sensitive.

It is certainly a nice one. I like it very much. Hope it is tolerant of heat because I buy as many of its progeny as I can (seedlings) and hope. The Kusuda Beauty(Kusuda Shinning X Red Beauty) I had was virused and was destroyed but the flowers were really nice. Anyone else had experiency with "Red Beauty" hybrids?

You might want to read Forum - New Horizon Orchids - Andy Easton and the forum on heat tolerance/flower size.
Cheers.

It is sad the knowledge of the moderator alternates with so much meaningless criticism from same.
