Bear in mind that canaliculatum grows from NSW through into NT and WA. NSW and higher altitude Qld forms are no doubt experience cool temperatures in the wild but plants from Nth Qld, NT or WA may not be as well adapted to cold conditions.

roy, i think my plant is flowering size as there a few old spike stubs.
so less water in winter, and perhapes bring it inside in winter?
i also have another question, what season should it flower, i looked a a couple of sights, but they were american and i just want to know, that been in the southern hemishpere the flowering period is the same.
