Susanne, I don't wish to break your balloon but it is near impossible to differentiate between new growth and buds when they are just beginning. You could possibly be getting new growth. I have the famous warm grower that blooms in Miami in July, Cym. Golden Elf 'Sundance' or Sundust that has previously bloomed in a four inch pot and it has four new growths or spikes but I cannot tell which. I would be very happy with two of each. Since you already have flowers, new growth wouldn't be bad.
