LOL! Now you know it won't fit in there..... It's gonna sit on the dining room table for now. Besides its way to warm in the orchidarium.

Hi
Understand your problem completely and wish I could say it wouldnt get worse. Beautiful cymbidiums are my weakness but finally got past the impulse buying. It was a relief - but now when certain lists of new hybrids come out I buy hundreds but just little ones - seedlings - and they grow and I run out of space and build a bigger space and ---- where does it end? It doesnt -cymbidiums are so beautiful.

ARGH!!!!
I know the problem only too well.........

I'm a shocking stress buyer. 16 cym seedlings(the only planned purchase), a dend, bumble-bee orchid, now 4 vandas on the way..... SOMEBODY STOP ME BEFORE I BUY AGAIN!

And I don't even like vandas all that much! Never bothered with them before....

But its good to see that I've got good company in this "issue" of mine!

I made a rule a few years back: One gallon in, one gallon out. But of course seedlings in 3" pots do not count and when they get potted up, well .... that is just "Potting up" and really not a new addition isn't it?

Seriously, I always upgrade my collection each year. If I can't show it, breed with it, it is surpassed by better ones, or it is fiercely sentimental, OUT IT GOES!

I just ordered 9 chids on the weekend, will pick them up at the London show in couple of weeks. This site keeps giving me ideas for the wishlist....eBay is just as bad if not worse, beautiful pictures of plant, sometimes the price is to good to pass up, but because they are all over the world, but a lot of the sellers won't get cites/ photosanity paper work done, then have the nerve to say not my problem if it gets jacked by your customs officers. I just add the plant name to the wishlist and hope to one day find it in good Old Canada....
