Eulophia speciosa is a common Eulophia growing along the south east coast of South Africa. It is the floral emblem of the South African Orchid Council. This plant was photographed at the Pietermaritzburg Orchid Society Show 3 - 5 September so it is in cultivation. From the short flower spike I would guess that this plant is grown in full sun. I do not grow it but I should imagine it is grown in well drained grit. The colour is a bit too blue
Eulophia is an extremely widespread genus in Africa. There are species from summer-rainfall and winter-rainfall regions. There are species that experience hot summers and cool summers. There are species that can't take frost and species that get heavy frost.

It's very pretty. I once found a Eulophia gramatifolia or gramatiphyllum or gramatiloides (Iforget but you get the idea) growing from a crack in the pavement in parrot jungle in Florida. Weirdest orchid find I ever had. Eulophias are cool.
