Default What is this growth?

Hi I found this at the base of the newest growth of my Cym. Pink Champagne 'Old Vienna'. Does anyone know what it is? This is my first Cym. and I have had it since may.

I posted the picture on my blog. Click on the link below (when you see the picture, click to enlarge it, and then look at the base of the plant)

Thanks, Cam

Cam, it's hard to tell but if it is that little nubbin at the base of the pseudobulb, it might be a flower spike????

Cam , Looks like a new shoot , A flower spike usually has more of a rounded tip. Good luck !

Looks like a growth, your plant looks a little small to be blooming, maybe in another year or two.

It's so small that it's hard to tell! Maybe once it's a bit bigger it will be easier to figure out what it is. Right now I think it looks more like a new growth. Either way, it is a good thing!
